They refuse to talk seriously or constructively with people who are not like them. But the real reason that the solutions listed above do not work is that they look to change behaviors and minds while ignoring the fact that the real problem is the conditions of Christian Nationalist&#8217;s hearts. Behaviors will not change, nor can they change permanently, unless hearts and minds change.<\/p>\n<p>It is impossible to overestimate the significance of the spiritual heart. If logic, reason, civility, kindness, persuasion, education, bribes, voter registration efforts and other conventional social\/political strategies aren&#8217;t working quickly enough and broadly enough to accelerate movement toward unity, what other strategies are there?<\/p>\n<p>When human strategies fail, all that remains is to do what God says.<\/p>\n<p>God&#8217;s strategy for establishing order and justice in all relationships is that everyone obeys his laws\/commandments. But the laws he wants people to obey are not <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/gods-written-word-and-gods-spoken-voice\/the-law\/6#religiouslaws\">religious laws made by men<\/a>. He wants them to obey <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/gods-written-word-and-gods-spoken-voice\/the-law\/6#spirituallaws\">his spiritual laws<\/a>. People who do these things display evidence that God&#8217;s spiritual laws are written on their hearts because<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblestudytools.com\/passage\/?q=proverbs+4:23;luke+6:45;matthew+12:35\"> the good things they say and do are the natural overflow of their hearts.<\/a> People who have God&#8217;s laws written on their hearts are considered by God to be righteous and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/symbols-signs-types-copies-shadows-and-patterns\/place-where-god-will-place-his-name\/5\">created in his image<\/a>. God sees their<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/symbols-signs-types-copies-shadows-and-patterns\/place-where-god-will-place-his-name\/4#goodpureheart\"> hearts as being clean and pure<\/a>. This contrasts with Christian Nationalists for whom the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblestudytools.com\/passage\/?q=matthew+12:34-35;proverbs+4:23;matthew+15:18-19;luke+6:45;psalms+73:7-8;ephesians+4:29\">overflow of their hearts is evil and impure<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">People who do not obey God&#8217;s commands about loving your neighbor and doing justice for others show clear evidence that God&#8217;s laws are not written on their hearts because the overflow of their hearts are words and actions that are inconsistent with God&#8217;s spiritual laws catalogued and summarized in <a href=\"https:\/\/website-9edf2383.phw.pfz.mybluehost.me\/strategies\/strategies-for-everyone-2\/summary-bible-quotations-about-how-to-relate-to-one-another\/\">Doable, Common Sense Strategies for Achieving Political and Social Unity<\/a>. <\/span>People who do not have God&#8217;s laws written on their hearts are unrighteous sinners in God&#8217;s eyes. God sees their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/symbols-signs-types-copies-shadows-and-patterns\/place-where-god-will-place-his-name\/4#evilimpureheart\">hearts as evil and impure.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a id=\"sindefined\"><\/a>Religious people, including Christian Nationalists, see sin in the context of moral and religious laws. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblestudytools.com\/1-john\/3-4.html\">God defines sinners as people who are lawless. <\/a>The law that defines lawlessness, however, is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/gods-written-word-and-gods-spoken-voice\/the-law\/6#spirituallaws\">God&#8217;s spiritual laws written on the heart<\/a> &#8212; not man&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/gods-written-word-and-gods-spoken-voice\/the-law\/6#culturallaws\">cultural laws<\/a>, not man&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/gods-written-word-and-gods-spoken-voice\/the-law\/6#religiouslaws\">religious laws,<\/a> not <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/gods-written-word-and-gods-spoken-voice\/the-law\/6#civillaws\">man&#8217;s civil laws<\/a>, and not man&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/gods-written-word-and-gods-spoken-voice\/the-law\/6#institutionallaws\">institutional laws<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>God&#8217;s concept of sin is very different from man&#8217;s idea. People who do not obey <a href=\"https:\/\/website-9edf2383.phw.pfz.mybluehost.me\/biblical-truth\/gods-commands-about-doing-justice\/\">God&#8217;s Commands About Doing Justice for Others<\/a> and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/website-9edf2383.phw.pfz.mybluehost.me\/biblical-truth\/788-2\/\">God\u2019s Commands About How to Relate to Him and to One Another<\/a> are sinners in God&#8217;s eyes. Christian Nationalists, therefore, are sinners because they clearly break God&#8217;s spiritual laws when they violate his commands regarding loving your neighbor as yourself and doing justice for others. In other words, they need major heart changes so that they can obey God&#8217;s spiritual laws. but they do not know how God feels about their hearts and behaviors because their pride in their religion convinces them that they are perfect and everyone else needs to convert to their brand of religion.<\/p>\n<p>Heart change is the only hope Americans have for a nation and world where people live at peace with one another. A nation that fully embraces diversity, equity and inclusion of all people is not possible unless wholesale heart change occurs. When Christian Nationalists obey God&#8217;s spiritual laws they will stop identifying as Christian Nationalists and stop enacting laws that benefit them while oppressing others. Political and religious labels will not be important to them anymore. Their focus will be on loving their neighbors and doing justice for them &#8212; not on fear, religious rights, wokism, money, and control of the<a href=\"https:\/\/website-9edf2383.phw.pfz.mybluehost.me\/the-seven-mountain-prophecy\/\"> seven mountains of American culture.<\/a> This is why the strategy of changing hearts and minds is the only strategy that will be good for all Americans.<\/p>\n<p>There is nothing in the bible that even vaguely implies that God&#8217;s prescribed strategy for confronting individuals and movements that perpetrate injustice includes anything other than changing hearts. Religion, political activism, social activism and prayer are not among God&#8217;s strategies. This provides an important clue for people who want to defeat Christian Nationalism.<\/p>\n<p>The strategy of\u00a0 changing hearts and minds is clarified in these verses that speak about Christian Nationalists:<\/p>\n<div class=\"bg-white rounded-t-md border-b-2 p-5 shadow-md\">\n<p class=\"font-bold text-xl\" style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Isaiah 32:6 <\/strong><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">For fools speak folly, their hearts are bent on evil: They practice ungodliness and spread error concerning the LORD; the hungry they leave empty and from the thirsty they withhold water. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-bold text-xl\" style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><strong style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">Matthew 12:34-35 <\/strong> <span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">You brood of vipers, how can you who are <a href=\"https:\/\/website-9edf2383.phw.pfz.mybluehost.me\/biblical-truth\/what-god-says-about-evil-hearts\/#evil\">evil<\/a> say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. <\/span><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-bold text-xl\" style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><strong style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">Matthew 15:18\u00a0 <\/strong><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">But the things that come out of a person\u2019s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-bold text-xl\" style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><strong style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">Luke 6:45 <\/strong><span class=\"font-bold\" style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an<a href=\"https:\/\/website-9edf2383.phw.pfz.mybluehost.me\/biblical-truth\/what-god-says-about-evil-hearts\/#evil\"> evil<\/a> man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble? <\/span><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak, who are caught in the schemes he devises. <\/span><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">He boasts about the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy and reviles the LORD. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-bold text-xl\" style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">In his pride the wicked man does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God. <\/span><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">His ways are always prosperous; your laws are rejected by him; he sneers at all his enemies. <\/span><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">He says to himself, \u201cNothing will ever shake me.\u201d He swears, \u201cNo one will ever do me harm.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-bold text-xl\" style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">His mouth is full of lies and threats; trouble and evil are under his tongue. He lies in wait near the villages; from ambush he murders the innocent. His eyes watch in secret for his victims; like a lion in cover he lies in wait. He lies in wait to catch the helpless; he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net.\u00a0His victims are crushed, they collapse; they fall under his strength.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Christian Nationalists attitudes and behaviors are plainly identified in the above scriptures as wicked fools whose words\u00a0 and actions flow out of their callous,<a href=\"https:\/\/website-9edf2383.phw.pfz.mybluehost.me\/biblical-truth\/what-god-says-about-evil-hearts\/#evil\"> evil<\/a> hearts.\u00a0 They are also plainly identified as breakers of God&#8217;s laws about doing justice and loving their neighbors.<\/p>\n<p>They wrongly believe that they are guided by the bible, but they are very select in what they claim to obey.\u00a0 Worse yet, they obey the literal words of the bible and have no understanding of the symbolic meaning of those words. Therefore, they think they are righteous, but they are actually sinners. This fact is a major clue that informs the strategy of changing hearts and minds.<\/p>\n<p>Careful review of the bible reveals that it cycles through six basic themes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Loving God<\/li>\n<li>Loving your neighbor<\/li>\n<li>Doing justice<\/li>\n<li>Judgment of sinners who do not love God, do not love their neighbors, do not do justice for their neighbors, and do not repent for the sin of breaking God&#8217;s spiritual laws.<\/li>\n<li>Redemptive heart change of people who do repent for the sins of breaking God&#8217;s spiritual laws.<\/li>\n<li>Peace<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u200e<br \/>\nThe entire bible is composed of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/symbols-signs-types-copies-shadows-and-patterns\" aria-haspopup=\"true\">Symbols, Signs, Types, Parables, Allegories, Copies, and Shadows<\/a> that elaborate on these themes with many different examples. Redemptive heart change followed by peace in the heart is the logical progression of those themes. It is impossible to appreciate the strategy of changing hearts and minds without knowing the biblical basis of redemptive heart change as it is revealed in these scriptures:<\/p>\n<div class=\"bg-white rounded-t-md border-b-2 p-5 shadow-md\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"bg-white rounded-t-md p-5 pb-3 shadow-md\">\n<div class=\"flex items-center\">\n<div class=\"flex-auto\">\n<p class=\"text-xl font-bold overflow-ellipsis\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Psalms 51:10 <\/strong><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"font-bold text-xl\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Romans 12:2\u00a0 <\/strong><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Ephesians 4:23-24<\/strong> \u00a0<span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, <\/span><a class=\"text-blue-600 font-bold\" style=\"background-color: white;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.biblestudytools.com\/nas\/ephesians\/4-24.html\">24\u00a0<\/a><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-bold text-xl\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Ezekiel 18:31 <\/strong><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">&#8220;Cast away from you all your transgressions which you have committed and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! They will be my people, and I will be their God.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-bold text-xl\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">Ezekiel 36:26 <\/strong><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>All bible stories point to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblestudytools.com\/nas\/passage\/?q=2+chronicles+15:15;john+14:27;philippians+4:7;colossians+3:15\"> peace that follows redemptive changes in hearts<\/a> and minds. This does not describe Christian Nationalists who obviously do not have peace in their hearts. We know this because people who suffer from fear and anxiety do not have peace in their hearts.<\/p>\n<p>When hearts and minds of Americans change, the division, pain, injustice, bitterness, chaos and acrimony that now plagues America will be replaced by peace, unity, civility, order and justice. There is no way to predict when this change will happen in the hearts of any individual Christian Nationalists or the movement, but it is safe to predict that hearts and minds will not change until some Americans adopt the strategy and advocate for it as truthtellers.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p><strong>BASICS OF AN UNTESTED STRATEGY<\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">People who<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> believe that the only way America can become safe from political and religious extremism is by changing the hearts and minds of Christian Nationalists would do well to consider this <\/span><span style=\"background-color: white;\">strategy: <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"background-color: white;\">We<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> who recognize the threats of political and religious extremism agree to collaborate to do the following:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Discretely share truth about false beliefs that inspire and motivate religious extremists in our personal journalistic and social media platforms.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Discretely recruit conscientious, zealous people like us who want to help overcome religious extremism to share the truth about the false beliefs that inspire and motivate religious extremists.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Follow the principals of <a href=\"https:\/\/website-9edf2383.phw.pfz.mybluehost.me\/strategies\/introduction-to-spiritual-warfare\/\">spiritual warfare<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u200e<br \/>\nAt its core, the strategy is really quite simple. These words are cited in <a href=\"https:\/\/website-9edf2383.phw.pfz.mybluehost.me\/overview-of-christian-nationalism\/\">Christian Nationalist doctrinal statements and ideology<\/a> to give the impression that the movement is fully endorsed by and directed by God and Jesus. This is not true.<\/p>\n<p>The literal words of the bible have been grossly misinterpreted by Christian Nationalists who imply that their political goals and strategies are fully consistent with God&#8217;s plans for America and bible teaching. These misinterpretations exist because Christian Nationalists do not understand that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/gods-written-word-and-gods-spoken-voice\">God never intended that the bible should be interpreted literally.\u00a0<\/a>God&#8217;s intent has always been that the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/gods-written-word-and-gods-spoken-voice\/literal-or-symbolic-interpretation-part-1\"> literal words of the bible should only be interpreted as symbolic representations<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/gods-written-word-and-gods-spoken-voice\">God&#8217;s spoken words which are very different from the literal words of the bible.<\/a> The discussion at the beginning of this page is a prime example of bible symbolism.<\/p>\n<p>Since Christian Nationalists have chosen to justify their movement with bible references, they have left themselves open to correction that has the potential to destroy the roots of that justification in a two-step process:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>Expose wrong religious beliefs based on wrong interpretations of the literal words of the bible.<\/li>\n<li>Replace lies created from wrong interpretations with truths found in the symbolic interpretations of those literal words.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u200e<br \/>\nAnother way to describe this process is &#8220;changing hearts and minds.&#8221; Changing hearts and minds is an unconventional way of solving social\/political issues, but, if there was ever a time that demanded employment of a radical, untested strategy, that time is now. America&#8217;s future and the future of democracy around the world depends on the success of this strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Experience shows that liberal, progressive opponents of Christian Nationalism have not been successful in efforts to dissuade Christian Nationalist politicians and their adherents from their wrong beliefs through logic, reason and facts because Christian Nationalists and their adherents prefer to believe lies, distortions of truth and conspiracy theories instead of documented truth. Therefore, it has been impossible to persuade them or negotiate with them on most issues of public policy. Their hearts and minds are intransigent and become more so every time someone confronts them with logic, reason and facts.<\/p>\n<p>Because logic, reason and facts have not been successful strategies for changing the oppressive policies of Christian Nationalists, we must ask: What strategy other than changing hearts and minds can be used to confront them?<\/p>\n<p>Since it is all but impossible to reason or argue with Christian Nationalists about scientific facts, politics and history, the only remaining strategy for confronting Christian Nationalism is to expose the movement&#8217;s false religious beliefs and replace them with biblical truth.<\/p>\n<p>Despite two thousand years of Christian history, and five hundred years of public access to bibles, there is no historical evidence that this strategy has been tried before. For people who claim to trust God and believe in the bible, it should be the go-to strategy for dealing with difficult people. But it is the one strategy that has not been tried, and is the only strategy that has the potential to change hearts and minds. Since it is in the bible, why not try it?<\/p>\n<p>Changing hearts and minds is not a quick fix strategy. It is a long-haul, in the trenches, slog that recognizes that the roots of Christian Nationalism, although deep, old and calcified, are still vibrant and alive. The only way to kill these roots is to expose wrong bible interpretations as lies and replace them with the correct interpretations of God&#8217;s spoken words. This is the essence of their strategy: Replacing lies with truth.<\/p>\n<p>This strategy is consistent with what the bible says about<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblestudytools.com\/john\/passage\/?q=john+8:31-32\"> the truth setting us free.<\/a> But even a simple scripture like this needs to be interpreted correctly. We must ask what it is that we need to be set free from? And what is the truth that sets us free? It is short-sighted, however, to spend time, money and energy fighting against oppressive Christian Nationalism policies and legislation without also engaging in <a href=\"https:\/\/website-9edf2383.phw.pfz.mybluehost.me\/strategies\/introduction-to-spiritual-warfare\/\">spiritual warfare<\/a> to destroy the roots from which those policies grow. It is the religious roots that feed the movement. Kill the roots and eventually the movement will die.<\/p>\n<p>At root, Christian Nationalism is a religious movement. On the surface it fights its battles through lies, conspiracy theories, politics, rhetoric, protests, voting manipulation and legislation, but it is religion that drives and empowers the movement. And make no mistake, it is a powerful religious movement.<\/p>\n<p>The strength of Christian Nationalism is in its rhetoric. Enslaved as they are to the words of religious\/political leaders, rank and file Christian Nationalists hunger for and feed on the rhetoric leaders feed them. They satisfy this hunger by their choice of news and social media. And when they can, they attend political rallies and conferences. These habits are modeled\u00a0 after religious gatherings to which they are addicted and keep feeding on to regenerate their religious\/political fervor by meeting with like-minded believers. These <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/symbols-signs-types-copies-shadows-and-patterns\/music-singing-and-dancing\/6\">events make them feel good, satisfy their need for community and create powerful, pseudo-religious experiences in their flesh<\/a>. This community could be called the Church of Christian Nationalists but does not use that label. The spirit of this church is very evident in name brand churches throughout America.<\/p>\n<p>Every time they participate in a political\/religious event, whether in person or online, Christian Nationalists learn and recite the rhetoric that makes the movement strong. It is like the liturgy recited every Sunday in Church and like singing the Star-Spangled Banner at sporting events. Singing and chanting builds and strengthens community. Christian Nationalists grow the movement every time they repeat the rhetoric to other Christian Nationalists or recite it to fend off the verbal attacks by media and others who are not part of the movement. They strengthen their personal resolve to fight for their beliefs every time they defend the movement with their rhetoric.<\/p>\n<p>Incessant repetition of the rhetoric &#8212; including lies &#8212; is the basic strategy in the evolution of the movement. Every chance they get, Christian Nationalists repeat the party line rhetoric and punctuate it with verbal jabs (e.g., name-calling, bullying, verbal abuse, etc.) directed at liberals and progressives. Political opponents react weakly with their own brand of rhetoric, but Christian Nationalists always win these verbal sparring matches. This is politics as usual in America. Both parties are talking but no one is listening &#8212; except to leaders in their preferred echo chambers.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p><strong>TAKE THE HIGH ROAD: DO NOT COMPROMISE TRUTH<\/strong><br \/>\nPolitics is a dirty business. Lies, dirty tricks, accusations, insinuations, conspiracy theories, name-calling, gerrymandering, disregard for ethics, conspicuous incivility and exaggerations of truth are examples of the dirt. All politicians do these things, but Christian Nationalists are gaining ground because their game plan also includes blatant restrictions of voting rights.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding lies, Christian Nationalists believe that, if they tell the lies and report the conspiracy theories often enough, people will eventually believe them. Then lies and conspiracy theories morph into false truths that are hard to overcome. The strategy works.<\/p>\n<p>When the clarity between truth and lies is blurred, America is weakened.\u00a0 It is impossible to be intellectually and morally strong if you don&#8217;t know the difference between truth and lies. Truth is a sound foundation for a strong, united nation but lies weaken that foundation. America is divided along the fault lines of truth and lies.<\/p>\n<p>Liberal politicians are generally more inclined to tell the truth but, seeing Christian Nationalist successes gained by telling lies, they unconsciously &#8211; or consciously &#8212;\u00a0 compromise their truth-telling instincts and fight dirt with dirt.\u00a0 Instead of taking the high ground of always speaking truth, they sacrifice their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.merriam-webster.com\/dictionary\/integrity\">integrity. <\/a><span style=\"background-color: white; color: black;\">That lowers their playing field down to the lower level of Christian Nationalists.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Because they sacrifice their integrity, liberals share blame for division, and that is just fine with Christian Nationalists who know that liberals will never be able to compete with them on telling lies and use of rhetoric.\u00a0 Voters&#8217; choices between good and bad candidates become problematic in the face of incessant, rhetorical ramblings.<\/p>\n<p>Christian Nationalists will not change their strategy because it works for them. The strength of their movement depends on voters who vote for Christian Nationalists because their discernment between good and<a href=\"https:\/\/website-9edf2383.phw.pfz.mybluehost.me\/biblical-truth\/what-god-says-about-evil-hearts\/#evil\"> evil<\/a> is confused at best, and inclined toward evil at worst. This puts the onus on liberals to devise a new strategy that does not include compromises about truth.<\/p>\n<p>We see evidence that Christian Nationalists are winning in daily media reports about their legislative successes in many states. We can expect that they will continue to gain political and legal ground unless their opponents (i.e., liberals, progressives, independents, atheists, unchurched, mainline Christians, swing voters, and everyone else) wake up and adopt a new, effective, coherent, uncompromising strategy for changing hearts and minds of Christian Nationalists.<\/p>\n<p>Liberals will not wise-up to the merits of this strategy until they understand that they get dirtier from the mud they pick up and sling than they do from the mud that lands on them. Because they know politics is a dirty game that they must play to win, they willingly soil themselves when they sacrifice their integrity to run for office and accept campaign donations from special interest groups. Lacking confidence in the power of truth-telling, they feel that they can&#8217;t win unless they compete with Christian Nationalists by playing dirty. Every time they tell a lie, exaggerate a truth, or accept a donation from a special interest group, something inside them (i.e., their heart) gets dirty. They see the financial, emotional, and time costs, but they don&#8217;t see the internal, hidden costs: loss of integrity. They don&#8217;t see their hearts get hard.<\/p>\n<p>Willing agreement to play this dirty game is a costly, long-term sacrifice to make for the sake of short-term political influence. Even election winners suffer long-term losses when they make those sacrifices. And since winners never stop running, they are forced to keep making those sacrifices while they are trying to do good for the country as leaders. They will constantly chip away at their integrity unless they understand the virtues of always telling the truth and the internal costs of playing dirty politics.<\/p>\n<p>There is a better way of electing leaders so that their integrity is preserved while engaging in politics: never compromise on truth.<\/p>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<p><strong>ALTERNATIVES TO THE CHANGE HEARTS AND MINDS STRATEGY<\/strong><br \/>\nThere are only a few alternatives to adopting a spiritual strategy of changing hearts and minds with truth:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>The Christian Nationalism movement builds on its current momentum and gains political power needed to achieve its goals of dominating the seven mountains of culture in all of America.<\/li>\n<li>Trust that traditional political\/social movement strategies will eventually establish legislative majorities guided by <a href=\"https:\/\/website-9edf2383.phw.pfz.mybluehost.me\/biblical-truth\/788-2\/\">God&#8217;s laws about how people should relate to one another<\/a> in states that are currently controlled by Christian Nationalists.<\/li>\n<li>Passively observe the social and economic damage wrought in states that are currently controlled by Christian Nationalists and resolve to help throw the rascals out in the next election.<\/li>\n<li>Support political candidates who do not identify as Christian Nationalists with money and votes in the next election.<\/li>\n<li>Trust that traditional political\/social movement strategies will eventually establish legislative majorities guided by <a href=\"https:\/\/website-9edf2383.phw.pfz.mybluehost.me\/biblical-truth\/788-2\/\">God&#8217;s laws about how people should relate to one another<\/a> in states with divided legislatures.<\/li>\n<li>Trust that traditional political\/social movement strategies will eventually establish permanent\u00a0legislative majorities guided by <a href=\"https:\/\/website-9edf2383.phw.pfz.mybluehost.me\/biblical-truth\/788-2\/\">God&#8217;s laws about how people should relate to one another<\/a> in both houses of Congress and in the office of president.<\/li>\n<li>Trust that the political leanings of the Judicial branch of government will eventually change through attrition and new appointments to establish majorities guided by <a href=\"https:\/\/website-9edf2383.phw.pfz.mybluehost.me\/biblical-truth\/788-2\/\">God&#8217;s laws about how people should relate to one another,<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/website-9edf2383.phw.pfz.mybluehost.me\/biblical-truth\/gods-commands-about-doing-justice\/\">God&#8217;s idea of justice.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u200e<br \/>\nGiven the current political landscape, none of these alternatives are palatable, or realistic. Nevertheless, some Jews and Christians no doubt believe that God can and will decisively and supernaturally intervene to rout out the Christian Nationalists and establish order and justice in America.<\/p>\n<p>And no doubt some Jews and Christians believe that God can be persuaded to restore order and justice in the land if they pray enough for him to intervene on their behalf. These beliefs may preach convincingly to some Jews and Christians, but they are not good political\/social policy. Since the roots of Christian Nationalists&#8217; lies are found in the literal words of the bible, the truth that overcomes the lies is found in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/symbols-signs-types-copies-shadows-and-patterns\">symbolic meanings<\/a> of those words.<\/li>\n<li>A successful strategy for confronting Christian Nationalism is one that reports the symbolic meanings of the scriptures that Christian Nationalists have perverted to support their political goals.
