Those who are willing to investigate the differences between faith and religion will learn that they are exactly opposite in meaning as seen in the following statements:<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 650px;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 10px;\"><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 578.2px;\">\u2666 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblestudytools.com\/nas\/passage\/?q=hebrews+11:1;+romans+8:24;+2-corinthians+4:17-18;+2-corinthians+5:1-7;+hebrews+11:7;+hebrews+11:27\">True faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.<\/a> And,<br \/>\n\u2666 True <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblestudytools.com\/nas\/passage\/?q=romans+10:17;+galatians+3:2-5;+mark+4:21-25\">faith comes by hearing God&#8217;s spoken voice<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">But,<\/p>\n<p>\u2666<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/religion\">\u00a0Religion<\/a> (i.e. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/fakefaith\/\">fake faith<\/a>) is the substance of things that are seen, acted out, spoken, touched, tasted, heard, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=codified&amp;ie=utf-8&amp;oe=utf-8\">codified<\/a>, managed and repeated according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/gods-written-word-and-gods-spoken-voice\/the-law\/6#religiouslaws\">rules and traditions established by an historical succession of religious leaders.<\/a> And,<br \/>\n\u2666 Religion (i.e. fake faith) is learned by watching what other religious people do and listening to what religious people say.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>Just to make this difference perfectly clear, we will rephrase these statements as follows:<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 650px;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 10px;\"><\/td>\n<td style=\"width: 584px;\">\u2666 True faith is a matter of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblestudytools.com\/nas\/passage\/?q=1-samuel+16:7;+luke+16:15;+jeremiah+17:10;+psalm+44:20-21;+proverbs+15:11;+1-chronicles+28:9;+2-chronicles+6:28-31;+psalm+44:21;+acts+1:24;+1-kings+8:39;+proverbs+21:2;+romans+8:27;+romans+10:5-8;+1-timothy+1:3-5;+2-timothy+2:22;+hebrews+10:19-22;+deuteronomy+30:11-14\">heart which only God knows and only God can see.\u00a0<\/a>And,<br \/>\n\u2666 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblestudytools.com\/nas\/passage\/?q=romans+10:17;+galatians+3:2-5;+mark+4:21-25\">True faith comes by hearing God&#8217;s word.<\/a><br \/>\n\u2666 True faith is governed by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/gods-written-word-and-gods-spoken-voice\/the-law\/6#spirituallaws\">spiritual laws<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">But,<\/p>\n<p>\u2666 Religion (i.e.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/fakefaith\/\"> fake faith<\/a>) always involves use of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/religion\/flesh\">flesh<\/a> (i.e. physical body, mind, emotions) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/fakefaith\/2018\/10\/24\/religion-is-not-faith\/\">material, visible things<\/a> (e.g. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/religion\/religion-is-not-faith\/religion-is-commerce\">money,<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/symbols-signs-types-copies-shadows-and-patterns\/tabernacles-temples-altars-high-places-and-pilgrimages\">buildings<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/fakefaith\/2018\/02\/18\/making-a-name-for-yourself\/\">clothing<\/a>, incense, candles, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/symbols-signs-types-copies-shadows-and-patterns\/music-singing-and-dancing\">music<\/a>, etc.) that can be seen, touched and heard, and which <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblestudytools.com\/nas\/passage\/?q=matthew+6:1-6;+matthew+6:16-18;+matthew+23:1-12;+luke+20:46-47;+luke+21:1;+john+5:41-44;+john+12:37-43;+romans+2:29;+john+7:18\">religious people value and praise<\/a> but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblestudytools.com\/nas\/passage\/?q=luke+16:15;+john+6:63;+romans+7:18;+1-timothy+4:8;+galatians+5:6\">God detests because it is usually acted out in public.<\/a> And,<br \/>\n\u2666 Religion (i.e. fake faith) is always governed by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/mystery\/gods-written-word-and-gods-spoken-voice\/the-law\/6#religiouslaws\">religious laws<\/a>. And,<br \/>\n\u2666 Religion (i.e. fake faith) includes beliefs and activities learned from other people.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>It is reasonable to expect that people who drop out of religion know, or at least suspect, that faith and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/religion\">religion<\/a> are not the same. Many, perhaps most, of them believe that God exists and aspire to genuine faith. But doubts and uneasiness about these differences between faith and religion cause them to drop out of religion. That is a good thing to do because it resolves the inner tensions they have about the differences. It is not good, however, if they also leave God behind because they have no idea about a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thewaywesee.com\/religiondetoxnetwork\/study\/study-tips\/4\">righteous alternative to religion.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Most religionists entertain no thoughts of dropping out of religion. There is no doubt in their minds that God wants people to practice their brand of religion.\u00a0 They are convinced that faith and religion are identical.
