HUNG UP OVER PROPHESY***
There is a tendency among religious people to think of prophets as a special, unique class of spiritual people.  This thinking wrongly adopts the worldly definition of prophet as one who has the ability to forecast future events, and ignores the Biblical definition of what a prophet does: Speak for God.

The problem is, however, that the world is full of false prophets. Learning how to distinguish between true prophets who speak for God and false prophets who speak out of their own imagination is challenging — but it can be done.
