THE TRUE PROPHET’S BASIC MESSAGE
A serious study of the messages of false prophets of today would show that none of them preach a message of repentance for practicing Old/First Covenant religion. Because they are trained and experienced in literal interpretation of scripture, they do not teach people how to hear God’s spoken voice. They may occasionally speak of repentance from other kinds of sins (e.g. sex, drugs, greed, alcohol, etc.), but they will never speak repentance for practicing the sin of religion.

How could prophets preach against religion? Why would they preach against religion? Prophets (e.g. pastors, priests, evangelists, rabbis, writers, etc.) are fixtures in the Old/First Covenant institutional religion system that characterizes Judaism and Christianity. If they taught people how to hear God’s voice, they would be out of a job. If they would preach repentance from practicing religion, they would first need to preach to themselves. They would offend everyone who supports them in their public ministries. They would lose their lucrative positions and all the praise they receive from their followers who support them financially and with praise.
