KNOWING GOD
Here are the basic facts about knowing God:

God is an invisible, unchanging spirit who cannot be seen or touched.
God’s word is the only evidence of God that can be found.
Efforts to discover God in nature, or in any man-made environment (e.g church, synagogue, etc.) are vain and futile.
God lives in a secret place (i.e. heart of New Covenant disciples.)
The only place where God can be found is in his creation (i.e. heart of New Covenant disciples.)
The only way to know God is to hear his voice.
His voice is heard/known in the hearts of New Covenant disciples.
He has also effectively hidden himself (i.e. his voice) in pillars of cloud and pillars of fire from which he speaks. These clouds are symbolic references to New Covenant disciples (i.e. true prophets, angels, messiahs, high priests, witnesses, and warriors) whom he anoints with his spirit and sends to speak for him.
